Communications Specialist
A mid-level communications specialist who owns communications planning, execution, and media engagements across channels, teams, and intiatives.
We are looking for a Communications Specialist to support end-to-end communications strategy and execution across Footprint's client work and internal growth initiatives.
This role is responsible for turning business objectives into integrated communications plans, coordinating delivery across teams, and ensuring engagement is measured, reported, and improved. You will work closely with senior communications strategy, creative, content, digital, and accounts to ship initiatives that are clear, consistent, and results-driven.
Responsibilities
• Own integrated communications plans across owned, paid, and earned channels
• Translate objectives into campaign strategy, messaging pillars, and channel plans
• Build practical calendars, workflows, and delivery timelines across teams
• Coordinate cross-functional execution with design, video, copy, digital, and accounts
• Lead campaign launch readiness: assets, specs, approvals, tracking, and reporting
• Oversee performance measurement: UTMs, dashboards, weekly checks, monthly reviews
• Diagnose what is working and what is not, then iterate based on evidence
• Maintain quality control across messaging consistency and campaign alignment
• Support client-facing planning sessions, reporting, and performance narratives
• Maintain documentation: briefs, plans, learnings, and reusable playbooks
Requirements
• 3+ years in communications and marketing roles with end-to-end execution support experience
• Strong competency across campaign planning, content systems, and channel execution
• Clear understanding of funnels, KPIs, attribution logic, and reporting cadence
• Ability to manage timelines, stakeholders, and multiple moving parts without chaos
• Comfortable working with creatives and execution teams in one integrated plan
• Strong English and Amharic writing and presentation skills for briefs and performance reviews (additional languages are a plus)
